These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As Doctors of Chiropractic, Dr. Cefalu & Dr. Foxworth have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem, as well as improve and maintain mobility. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Associate Platinum Digital Foot Scanner

home_splash_2.jpgQ:  What is the Associate Platinum?

A:  The Associate Platinum is a digital foot scanner that helps your healthcare professional evaluate your postural health. After you are scanned, the Associate Platinum creates a digital image of your feet that shows your weight distribution on each foot and indicates imbalances or weaknesses in your feet.

Q:  My feet don’t hurt; why should I get them scanned?

A:  Because your foot bone’s connected to your spine bone! Seriously, you may not realize it, but your body is a large kinetic chain.  All of its parts are interconnected, with one part affecting another.  Weaknesses or imbalances in your feet can affect other areas of your body, like your knees, hips, and spine.  When you stand, walk or run your body is subjected to natural forces and postures that can cause stress and strain up your body’s kinetic chain.  Your feet are the foundation for your entire body.  When they are not in proper alignment, your feet can’t give your body the support it needs.

Q:  What can my healthcare professional learn from my digital foot scan?

A:  He/she can determine if you have weaknesses or imbalances in your feet that could be the cause of your condition or may cause problems to develop in the future.  Then your healthcare professional can decide if you could benefit from Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers.

Q:  What are Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers?

A:  Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers are flexible, custom-made orthotics that you wear in your shoes.  They are the only orthotics designed to support all three arches of your foot. Stabilizers balance and support all three arches of your foot to help align your ankles, knees, and hips, providing a solid foundation for your entire body. Exact measurements of your feet are taken from your digital foot scan when we create your pair of stabilizers, so they are as unique as you are.  Firm and flexible, they support the body and allow your feet to maintain normal movement.

Q:  How can Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers help me?

A:  By properly supporting the arches of your foot, Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers help your feet maintain their structural and functional balances as you stand, walk, or run.  Your feet are like the foundation of a house.  If the foundation is not level or is shaky, then the house will never be level. The same is true for you! If your foundation is not level or balanced, it can lead to problems all the way up your body.  Stabilizers give you the stable foundation you need for a properly aligned body, which helps reduce unnecessary stress and strain on your joints meaning less pain for you now and in the future! Stabilizers also help enhance your athletic performance, improve your balance, and reduce your fatigue. They are the foundation of vitality and could help you lead an active lifestyle for years to come!
